A Muslim Activist based in New York who has more than one million facebook followers has praised the deadly attacks on Christians in Egyptian churches by ISIS. Her followers whoop with glee and post “Alluha Akbar” again and again, to demonstrate their support.
Ayat Oraby launched a string of attacks at Egypt’s Coptic Christians, calling them “a gang” and “a full-fledged mafia” who are trying to create a mini-state. She goes further and says that “They must be made to understand that the cresent must always be above the cross”. Her meaning is that Christians must always be subservient to Islam.
But what if the Coptic Christians are trying to build a “mini-state”? They are being butchered and persecuted throughout the nation, and the government seems only to happy to let it continue. Perhaps the Coptics believe that if they have their own separate state, then they will not be subjected to murder and terror on an almost daily basis?
With the demise (genocide) of Christians across the Middle East and North Africa at the hands of ISIS and extremist friendly governments, surely it’s time for some kind of humanitarian effort to save these people before they are all murdered or displaced. Or are we too busy taking in the murderers and persecutors and listening to activists like Ayat Oraby?
