The number of refugees admitted to the US has dropped by almost 50% since Donald Trump took office. Many may decry that it is inhumane, but the reality is that it is due to a drop in Applications. With the advent of Trumps “travel ban”, migrants from the 6 proscribed countries have stopped applying in such numbers. Is it because they now fear America more than the war-torn country they are in? Or is it because it was never really about being a refugee but being an economic migrant?
If we look at the Migrant crisis in Europe, over a million and a half have arrived on European shores, and according to government statistics, it is likely that only 2.5% were actually Syrian refugees. This is the largest scale economic migration to ever happen. And it is taxpayers in western nations that are feeling the burden.
President Trump has issued an order for the number of refugees yearly to be reduced to 50,000, but sadly, it is likely that the courts will not allow him to do this. Which raises a bigger question. Who is it that has the final decision in this country? When a President with a mandate to lessen immigration can not actually lessen immigration, who then is calling the shots? Where is the Democratic process?
Trump is doing a great job, but the Globalist network has its own plans for the US nd Europe, and unless we stand together, they will win.
Most people don’t know this, but in Obama’s last three months, there were 25,000 refugees accepted into the US. Under President Trump, 13,000 refugees have been admitted into the country. It’s mostly because of the travel ban. Remember what Obama said about the refugees?
The executive travel ban that Trump introduced at the beginning of the year caused the first major dip. It stopped people from coming in from Muslim-majority countries.
Obama had a quota in 2016 of getting 110,000 refugees. This is tiny compared to the number that of Germany – who accepts a million a year. According to Pew Research, 116,000 refugees were accepted in 2016 – this is the largest in more than a decade for the US. Trump has dramatically decreased the flow.
Trump has drastically reduced the number to a quota of 50,000 for 2017. It’s not set in stone because courts are likely to challenge, according to Daily Mail.
