Kern County Sheriff, Donny Youngblood, is following President Trump’s lead in taking back control of immigration. The Sheriff is looking to turn his County into a “Law and order” County by allowing the Sheriff’s department to not only question people on their immigration status, but also to cooperate directly with ICE.
It is a surprise to no one that places that are following Sanctuary City policies are struggling. The crime rates are going through the roof and the economies are suffering. Just look at Illinois!
Illinois has now been downgraded to near Junk Status by Moody’s. This is the worst rating of any place in the United States. And what are Illinois’ leaders doing to combat this? They are raising the Income tax rate by over 30%!
Our elected leaders have one job…To administer policies that they campaigned on. Did anyone vote for Crime and bankruptcy? Did anyone vote for economic mismanagement? The simple truth is that there are States and cities that are doing well. Why not follow their example?
Trump made a promise and it he intends to keep his word. His campaign dealt with immigration…or that f illegal immigration.
He is trying to move forward with removing those that came here illegally. But certain liberal cities have developed the idea of sanctuary cities. These communities promise to protect illegals from deportation.
They break federal law at taxpayer expense. California is symptomatic for this problem.
There is one sheriff in California willing to face the heat. He refuses to allow the law to be broken and is fighting sanctuary cities in the illegal’s issue.
Kern County Sheriff Donny Youngblood is taking the masthead for Trump’s agenda. He announced that his department will do what’s necessary in working with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Located in California’s Central Valley, Sheriff Youngblood is proud to represent law and order.
The DailyCaller reports:
Youngblood plans to ask the Kern County Board of Supervisors to adopt a resolution that would declare Kern a “law and order” county and not a “sanctuary” county, the Los Angeles Times reported.
“Sheriff’s deputies don’t enforce immigration laws and we don’t go on federal immigration sweeps, but we do have to allow our federal partners to do their job,” Youngblood told the LA Times.
Youngblood’s request comes in response to a bill under consideration in Sacramento that would make California a “sanctuary state.” Nearly all of California’s major cities and dozens of its counties have implemented some kind of sanctuary status, limiting cooperation and information sharing with federal immigration authorities.
Youngblood seeks to have his county state out of the sanctuary protection business. His plan would allow federal law enforcement to do their job dealing with illegals.
This sheriff is to be congratulated for stepping out of the liberal mindset. More sheriffs need to follow his example and follow their ELECTED positions.
Would your local sheriff follow the example set by this sheriff?
