When the Justice Department announced that they will be appointing a special prosecutor to look into the possibility of Russian connections during the 2016 election, the one thing they didn’t expect was Trump’s reaction. He took to Twitter (basically the only place he can speak without commentators putting negative spin on his words) to call them out on their hypocrisy.
The fact that with all the crimes clearly committed by both Clinton and Obama, a special prosecutor to look into the truth of the matter was not even mentioned. But did the Democrats really want this to go quite so far?
You’ll notice that hardly any Democrats or media shills are mentioning Russian Collusion on the campaign trail anymore, now they are focusing on the possibility of leaks. This is done on purpose because they actually don’t want the collusion matter looked into too closely. Here’s why:
- The emails that they claim were hacked by Russians and sent to Wikileaks with the backing of Donald Trump actually came from Seth Rich, the murdered DNC staffer who was disturbed by what the Clinton campaign was up to.
- Former FBI Director James Comey has already sworn under oath (3rd of May) that at no time did anyone try to interfere with the FBI’s investigation.
- A wealth of high level Democrats were involved in the sale of US Uranium to the Russians including Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton.
- Video evidence of Barack Obama (the “hot mic” issue) saying that he would be in a better position to help the Russians “after the election” is now in the public domain.
All this adds up to a great deal of trouble for the Democrats. ON the other side of the equation, no evidence has ever been presented that would do detriment to President Trump; nothing but “unconfirmed sources” and media spin.
They don’t want this because they are scared of what the prosecutor might uncover. Trump should keep on pushing for it and put them on the back foot.
Trump countered with these tweets this morning:
Here is what Trump said:
“As I have stated many times, a thorough investigation will confirm what we already know – there was no collusion between my campaign and any foreign entity,” Trump said in a statement released several hours after the news broke Wednesday night.
Trump has called their bluff.
The Justice Department has now announced that Mueller would be the special counsel and would carry out the probe to find out about if Russia had “hacked” the election.
Democrats have been pushing for an investigation that would be free from Donald Trump interference. Here is how Trump responded to it.
“‘I look forward to this matter concluding quickly,’ he said. ‘In the meantime, I will never stop fighting for the people and the issues that matter most to the future of our country.”
Here is all you need to know about Mueller:
Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein announced the move on Wednesday and he recommended President George W. Bush appointee Mueller. Mueller has led the FBI and was reappointed by Obama. He has a great reputation with both parties.
