Police Officer’s Home Shot at 30 TIMES in Town Where Councilman Urged Action Against Police

After Councilman Kenneth Stokes of Jackson, Mississippi responded to a question about what to do with “thugs with guns and badges”, he suggested throwing rocks and bottles. Yes, you read that right. He suggested that citizens attack police officers who are carrying out their duty.

The idea that an elected representative is calling for assaults on the police is bad enough, but what happened next should mean his resignation (but knowing the Liberal Left mindset it is unlikely).

Police Officer Alfred Jenkins and his wife were woken up by the sound of gunfire and realised that their home was being targeted. 30 rounds were fired in total, and the couple were lucky to be alive. The Left talks about President Trump’s rhetoric being responsible for (imagined and fraudulent) violent attacks. Will the Left stand up and take responsibility for this attack?

When our elected “leaders” are calling for violence towards police to appease a group of idiots who refuse to examine facts, we know the Ideology has gone too far!

It has been a long time since Jackson, Mississippi suffered through race-riddled anger and violence, becoming one of the “Ten Friendliest Cities in America,” according to a renowned travel magazine noted for its friendly people, great food and soul music.

The state capital in overwhelmingly African-American, with a black mayor and predominately black city council.

Unfortunately, one of those city council members has some prejudices of his own that may very nearly have cost a police officer and his family their lives.

Councilman Kenneth Stokes went on the record last year advocating a solution to what he called “thugs with guns and badges” who conducted high-speed pursuits of suspects.

“What do I think should be done? Bricks, rocks and bottles would stop this nonsense.”

Stokes got his wish last week when Police Officer Alfred Jenkins and his wife were awakened in the middle of the night to the sound of gunfire.

Police say the Jenkins’s home was targeted with 30 rounds last week.

When Stokes said violence would “stop this nonsense,” he added, “that will send a message” – and he was right and local law enforcement did not take the suggestion lying down.

Madison County Sheriff Randy Tucker posted a response on Facebook, writing, “Law Enforcement will not be intimated by you. Any Madison county law enforcement that is attacked because of your ignorant statements, I will hold you responsible.”

Now, it may be time to do just that.

Sheriff Tucker has vowed to take the matter to the Mississippi attorney general to determine if Stokes’s comments constitute, “assaults on officers by threat.”

And the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department, located 150 miles from Jackson, announced it would boycott all businesses in Jackson, urging other law enforcement departments in the state to join with them until Stokes either resigns or is forced out of the city council.

Officer Raymond Duke also took to social media to condemn the attack on Jenkins’s home as the act of “cowards” prompting Stokes to call a press conference at which he called Duke “a hog-headed lying b******.”

Duke refused to take the bait, instead praising the community’s response to the shooting.

“The outpouring of love and support for Officer Alfred Jenkins has been simply amazing. Thank you to everyone for your prayers and support.”

Sadly, that love and support, those prayers have not come from all members of the Jackson community, especially not from those who listen to Councilman Stokes’s message of hate and violence.
