When Paul Ryan dropped the vote on the Health Care bill he let down not only the people, but also President Trump; and rightly or wrongly, he is taking the flack for it. Whether someone else could have had a different result is obviously just speculation, but clearly Ryan’s reputation is going to suffer from this.
This is why we elect either strong, willful people (or excellent negotiators) to High Office…they have a track record of getting things done against the odds. So when Donald Trump tells us that he personally is going to fix the US tax situation, we try not to think of moments like this:
And instead try to think about what Judge Jeanine said:
“YES. THIS DOES MAKE TAX REFORM MORE DIFFICULT,” RYAN SAID. “BUT IT DOES NOT IN ANY WAY MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE.”
His lack of confidence and optimism when he said this makes you wonder if this may go the same route as the Health care bill, but this time The Donald appears to have his hand on the tiller. He aims to cut taxes for the middle class thus and reform Corporation tax, let’s hope he doesn’t go the same way as Ryan.
