Laura Ingraham has built quite a following in recent years, not just for her always provoking radio show, but also for her sharp criticisms of Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election. And this may just be the start of her rise.
After being directly approached by the Republican party, Laura has stated that she is “considering” a run against Senator Tim Kaine in Virginia, 2018. There has already been a lot of excitement on social media with many people getting excited by the prospect of not only removing Kaine, but also at having an elected representative that actually reflects their views.
Ingraham was initially touted as possible White House Press Secretary, but there seems to be no animosity after this didn’t appear. Party loyalists feel that if she won in Virginia, she would not only make a great Senator, but also be a much needed staunch ally for President Trump.
Politics, now more than ever needs visionaries and free thinkers. The sclerotic demise of democracy can only be reversed through the implementation of bold, sobering ideas. When people who are not afraid to voice opinions that haven’t had to be cleared through focus groups, think tanks and diversity officers, run for office, they are often quickly pounced upon by a media that has an agenda to fulfill. But the truth is still the truth and bold people are needed for dangerous times.
The Hill reports:
Conservative radio host Laura Ingraham on Tuesday said she is considering mounting a challenge to Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.) in 2018.
“I’m considering,” Ingraham told “Fox and Friends,” adding: “I haven’t made any decisions, but a number of folks in Virginia who are well connected are very interested in my running, and that’s very flattering.”

“It’s always good to mix things up, and I’ve been in Washington a long time and I have a great respect for the Congress and institutions of government,” she said.
